One of these will be in a local photo contest.. I'm submitting 10 photos, so it won't be the only one - it's run by an "art" gallery - max size 11x14 - no frames/matting..

Which one?

The horizons of both are in the middle, not usually the best placement for it. Also in the second one you cut off the bridge, ether include the whole thing or none of it.

Definitely number one, 2 isnt a bad image but 1 will do better in the contest.

#1, BUT: Level it and crop the top to just above the peak of the cloud in the center to move the horizon away from the middle. Good luck!

I really love the 2nd pic . minus the bridge being cut off and there being SOOO much pink. Therefore id have to go with the first pic for your contest.

I love the colors on #2, but for a contest I'd definitely go with #1. You could apply some dodging and burning, especially the darker areas are a bit distracting. I'd also try to do something with the unnatural colors of the lower left part of the sky, perhaps by darkening it just a bit. Good luck with the contest
