Online Insect Index???

Not sure where to post this, so hopefully this section is okay.

Does anybody know of an online index for insects to help you identify species, subspecies, etc... I would like to be able to identify the type of wasp, bee, fly, etc. that I'm taking photos of. Does anybody know of a good online index that would be large enough to have a big variety (with photos for identification)?

sorry... just a joke... i thought it would funny to have an insect catalog that includes trolls...

+1 for http://www.bugguide.net. I used it just the other day. It can be very hard to ID bugs (I know, I've tried!). There is also a good site called What's that Bug. They don't appear to have updated in a while and they might not be taking submissions any more but they have tons of pictures and you can look for them by category (if you know some basics) and just scroll from there. Yahoo sucks for searches. Use google it will miss sometimes but, it is better.
