Looks like fun!
For C&C...they are both under exposed. Snow is supposed to be white, not dull grey/blue.
This is a common problem because camera meters are calibrated to expose everything to a middle tone. But when your scene has a lot of now in it, the camera just thinks that it's bright, and gives you less exposure...thus under exposing.
So when you are shooting a scene with lots of snow, and using the auto modes of your camera, you should dial in some positive exposure compensation. This can help your snow to look white (like it probably is) and give you a well exposed photo.
