I'm trying to hand hold for these shots because a tripod is useless on fast moving critters, unless you set up, wait and hope one slips into your composition. It's real hard to zero in on focus because this insect does not stay still but for a split second. It looks like a yellow jacket wasp, but it's not. It's smaller and when it flies , it can hover and zip around like a humming bird. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I missed focus on this one. Focus on the one below it looks better to me. It's a weird shot though. It appears the insect is flying up a big red butt. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. I know where he's hanging out now.
