- Can others edit my Photos
- Photos OK to edit
Hello,
I live and travel by sailboat and store/edit my photos using Lightroom on a laptop with backup on an external hard drive. Currently I have about 40,000 photos stored in RAW on that laptop as a single catalog.
I just purchased another laptop (newer and faster) and Im trying to decide how to organize my pictures. I dont really want to put all the current and future photos on both computers, but I would like to be able to edit the old photos on the new computer.
My first thought is to leave the 40k photos on the old laptop and the external drive and start a new catalog on the new laptop. Then use the external drive with the new laptop for additional editing.
If you had to set this up, how would you do it?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Jim
