That is a great pic of Orion, very nice I love astronomy too and taking pics of the moon, I recently went out and viewed Jupiter and saw 4 of its moons, but my telescope is just a 70 so I did get to see the rings some what, but that is an awesome image

Fun fact: OP's nebula is the only one that you can see with the naked eye on a dark and clear night.

I've become a primaddona when it comes to telescopes. I can't tell you the last time i looked through the eyepiece. Everything is via my laptop now. sigh

nice shots guys. what kind of mounts are you using? I have an EQ-G but also and astrotrac setup I recently got and have been customizing, mainly for wider stuff using standard lenses, but I'm going to try my little 6" ritchey chretien astrograph on it too.

This guy: Paramount ME (Archive, See ME II and or MX) - Software Bisque. I mimicked a setup that I really liked and used often before.

oh, nice! I like my EQG but its a monster making portability very difficult, I'm lucky to live near some of the darkest skies in the nation so I wanted something more portable that I could take out easier.

I'm also a member of our local astronomical society and we have an observatory just up the road from me with a large 8" Brandt refractor, another 16" Cassegrain reflector, and a monster 32" reflector. haven't done much AP with those but Im planning on it sometime soon as well.

keep the shots coming, its all cloudy and stormy here during new moon so I'm a bit bummed.
