Osprey Portrait and take off

Went fishing today and a few Osprey were flying over above, but nothing got near close enough to capture.


As I was leaving this guy was not even 20ft from the road up in a tree. So I pulled over and snapped a couple before he took off.


I noticed after I got home and started looking at these, he has a tag on his left foot. And once I zoomed in I noticed it said "21A".


I wonder if that means there are 21-ish Osprey in the area? I've only been able to count 5-6 so far.


I could of used a faster shutter speed here, but I wasn't expecting him to take off so quick. You live you learn.

No idea on the tag but I really like the perch, it gave you a beautiful background :thumbsup:
