Osprey-Tips Wanted for improvement

First of all, hello! My name is Dane. Look forward to learning a great deal from you all.
I am very new, had the camera/lens for almost a week, but still am having trouble getting that desired sharpness. Any tips would be appreciated. Also, if this is the wrong sub-forum I apologize in advance.
Snapped these with a Canon 70D, 300mm F/4 IS USM. Photos have been cropped.

Hi Dane and welcome.

I think you did very well. Not always easy to get a single focus point on a moving subject.
Maybe for a tad more sharpness use a smaller aperture. Maybe around F8. Using software, you can also add a bit of sharpening and detail.
