Out of my comfort zone

This was not my normal day at all, first i don't tend to shoot people let alone people dressed like this, but hey if im asked im not going to turn it down as i see every opportunity as good practice for developing my skills, any input welcome

yeah i did have the idea that the shallow DOF would put more emphasis on the face as they had a white outfit on and felt that the eye would naturally drift to that area when taking the shot, i do welcome any thoughts on that decision.

I find that with something that's a bright color like red it stand outs and draws visual attention, even if out of focus. My eyes still go right to it, and to me it's worse because I'm trying to make it out. I think it's more a matter of figuring out how to work the color into the composition.

The pile of pillows seems rather cluttered I think, maybe because it's cut off and makes for more of a distraction. (And the hair across the eye is driving me nuts! lol) There's more texture with the pillows and hair that to me throws off the balance, it's tipping the scales to the right and needs a counterbalance.

I like it. I do wish her hands and red nails were in focus along with her face though.
