Alternatively called the "Overread posts random junk that he takes with his new toy" thread ;)
Every photo will be taken with a Canon RF 100-500mm L and (unless I win a lottery any time soon) a Canon R6MII

Any comments/critiques are always most welcome!

Little bit of rain and a soggy bluetit to start things off!

Nice shot, although I think the bird gets lost a bit in the shrubbery. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the RF 100-500 L and possibly learn some new things from observing.

Neglected thread needs attention! Went to Africa Alive/Kessingland Zoo today and got a few photos with the 100-500mm - did great though I wanted my 70-200 a few times when the bars were just that bit too dense; but otherwise great being able to zoom all the way in on stuff!

Thanks all - and yes the lens is certainly great when it comes to sharpness - even wide open at the long end it produces great results!

Which means I went back again! Same zoo!

A very disappointed Yellow Mongoose (keepers wear green; I wore green; me standing there at near feeding time and not having mealworms!)
