Hmmm. I'd never even heard of HDR till I started getting interested in macro again and ended up here in this forum a few weeks ago. Of all the examples I've seen of HDR it didn't take me long to figure out that I prefer the more realistic looking examples.
This set doesn't give the appearance of the over blown, cartoonish looking ones I see a lot of, but to my eye there's just something not quite right. I think maybe it's because you have a polished aluminum plane against a busy, gray colored hangar in the background. Or it's just all the play of light on that shiny Mustang.
I dunno, I'm no HDR expert, but it seems every HDR example I've seen with a lot of highly polished metal or chrome always looks....funny some how. I don't know if playing with the settings could change that, or it's just the way it is with lots of shiny metal.
All in all I still like the set...the P-51 is one of my all time favorite planes, but the HDR aspect of it doesn't make me go "WOW!".
