Painting-ish flowers #1..For your C&c

I tried to give a flower a painting like look a long time ago..but it did not work..I have tried that experiment with a few more flowers once again...I will post all of them here on TPF...Here is the first one ...for your C&C..

Nice experiment. My only comments are that the crop is a little tight at the top and one petal is cropped at the bottom, right-centre. You should give your "subject" a "little room to breathe", so to speak. I will be very interested to see others as you do them.

.....

.....I did the crop because even a little room around the flower was taking away its appeal......the surroundings were too gawdy and vibrant...
