Has anyone had a chance to play with Corel's new release of PaintShop Pro X4? I currently use X3 and it looks like a completely new program with some new features that might be useful. I'm not sure if the new program is improved in the areas I use it mostly for which is noise reduction, HDR merging, and editing raw photos. I don't do a ton of photography, mostly landscapes so CS5 is out of the question, but for $60 to upgrade, it wouldn't break the bank if it is vastly improved.
Second question is that X4 comes with a color manual, but even the b&w manual that came with X3 was short and sweet at best. I had good luck with a book I got on amazon called 'Picture Yourself Using Paintshop X3' by Diane Koers. It's pretty much out the window of usefulness if X4 is that different. Anyone heard of a new book to help navigate the changes and improvements to X4?
