I too like the pattern in the second. Just a little clean up of the light line at the top would make a huge difference for me.

Thanks for the comments. I would like to get rid of the annoying line but would probably screw things up.

Not too hard to do, and software is making it harder and harder to screw up. What software do you have? If you have Photoshop or Elements, just drag the spot heal tool over the line and voila! If it's not right, and quick click of the undo button and you are back to where you started.
