Panning snow

It's snowing. I'm not happy as it's supposed to be the second day of spring. I want flowers! I want green! Instead.... we got white. Lot's of it. What to do... what to do...

This is what it looks like, just in case someone out there is getting nostalgic already:

Yeeech. My toes want to feel the freedom of flipflops and sandals! My skin wants some vitamin D nourishement! Enoughadis!

And then I thought... why not try panning the snow - might make for a neat effect. So below are two tries. It turns out that getting the individual snowflakes frozen is more difficult than it looks - the little buggers move fast, and then don't all fall at the same speed. However, at least the camera's having a little play... You can C&C if you wish, but I'm putting these up mainly to get the snow-bound thinking out of the box a little.
