Party Tent

Morning all--

I am shooting an event this evening from 7-11pm. At 7pm there will still be a significant amount of light outside, so I'm good with that. But around 8-9ish we'll be going into a tented area (large with a wood floor etc). I'm a little apprehensive about my lighting conditions. I have a 580EX flash. Is it necessary to use my stroboframe? Obviously, I won't want crazy shadows all over the place. But it definitely makes my camera heavier.
Any tips for the evening? I have a Canon 5D, so I know I can bump up the ISO without getting a great deal of noise upwards of 800-1000.
White tent, opened sides, ****ty lighting inside I'm sure....
