A lot of iconic images were staged. "The Kiss" (Alfred Eisenstaedt - VJ Day, The Kiss @ GALLERY M) was staged. As was "Raising the flag on Iwo Jima", in that it was the second flag-raising done that day, (Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). As was the other "The Kiss" (see Robert Doisneau - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). In the end, the staging played a role just as did setting the exposure. I say well done.
