Nice shots! When you compose an image, try thinking of the rule of thirds and try to avoid placing the subject dead center in the photo. Sometimes it looks best that way, but more often than not, having the subject off-center is more appealing to the eye. Your camera should have a grid you can use to help compose the image, or you can crop in post process to move the subject, depending on how much room you leave yourself to play with. Experiment a bit, especially if you are using digital, because pixels are "free."
