Tried to put a bit more in the background with PS - sucessful?

BTW - I can see banding on the image, but I think it's my monitor (as it doesn't move withthe image) can anyone else confirm this?

I was going to ask the same: what is banding?

And I find that for the amount of sky over his head there should be more legs to be seen...

On my monitor I can see some regular, horizontal variation in intensity. I'm pretty sure it's my monitor at fault (as it affects the other windows) but that means I can't tell if my (new and untested) scanner has done the same to the picture.

Nice photo. I would of liked to see a little less of the sky above the bird and some more of the bird (feet etc.)

Gorgeous picture. I agree, more of the bird in the shot would be nice, but its not that big of a deal, I think the shot is wonderful.

Good shot. He seems like a proud animal.

I can see banding in the transition from the ocean to the sky. More often than not this is due to the scanner, so do not throw anything out until a thorough investigation is done.
