    I prefer all subjects are in focus from the photos.

    I like the look of the out-of-focus pencils, especially in the first one, the top part of which has a nice abstract quality. A more interesting arrangement of pencils photographed to make parts of the pencils much softer than others and with nothing really in focus could work better than these.
