Penn Camera a local DC metro area chain filed for bankruptcy and will be closing. I bought my first DSLR there only a few weeks ago as did someone else I know. He also got Penn gift cards for Christmas (a fair amount of change) that apparently they're not honoring right now...hopefully they'll be able to cancel the charge and replace them with something else. Sad, the employee I worked with in getting set up was knowledgeable and I actually ended up going Nikon rather than Canon when I was able to handle both cameras..not something you can't do on-line 
(Of course the 12m of prints that same with it are bye bye as well) I wonder if they just didn't get the web presence that stores like B+N and Adorama have been able to do? Or could it be that for most people the camera on their phone is now sufficient and they see no need to get anything else??
