Pensive... C&C, please!

The left eye is OOF. By stopping down your lens a bit, you could have avoided this. With close-up portrait shots, try f/4. It may not render the background as blurry, but which is more important?

The image feels heavy on the left side due to the background elements.

You have captured a nice 2/3 mask of your subject, but I would also suggest to raise you camera position to even with or slightly higher than his eyes. This also works well because his eyes are following his nose.
