Pesky little woodpecker.

Finally got a picture of the woodpecker that visits my garden daily. I have been trying to sneak up on it for weeks but he's quite wary so I sat for a couple of hours with the window open waiting for him. I've found the sigma 120-400mm needs to be at least f/8 to be propperly sharp.

Beautiful bird; trees look like sprinkled with turmeric powder; is it fungus?

Actually really interesting as they are really sensitive to air pollution, so if you got lots of lichens then your breathing good air!

Thats a nice looking pesky woodpecker . I believe its a Acorn Pecker .... UK version .
