You're killing me. I have been driving 45 minutes one way to get to an area where they are providing habitat for wild pheasants. I have seen them almost every trip, but have not managed an attempt at a photo. I am having to drive, look for them and make sure no one is coming up behind me. I suppose I am just going to have to stop at the farm and ask permission to walk the property. I almost got a hen last week, but as soon as I spotted her, backed the car up and grabbed for the camera, she took off I could hear a rooster calling in the corn field across the road, but he never showed himself .
Nice one, they can be very colorful. Saw a couple in route home yesterday through southern Missouri. They aren't as prevalent in the southern part of the state as they are in the northern, but the numbers have risen to allow them to open the entire state during season. Headed back up in early November for a few days for business and hopefully a couple days hunting with Sadie Mae.
