Photo howto CD/book or Online Course?

Hi,
I'm looking to buy a gift for my aspiring sister in law. She's very camera/photoshop illiterate and I'd like to get her an educational gift. She doesn't have a lot of time on her hands and so something she can work through on her own would be nice. If it were me, i'd prefer a video/dvd how to. I saw the ad. for "Proud Photography" on here, anyone have anythingt to say about them?
