Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
So I am on facebook and someone shares a story about some local news ongoings. Here smack dab in the middle of the page is a photo that I have taken with credit to another resident! He blatently stole my picture!!!!!

I emailed the news company and let them know of their error. Haven't heard back from anyone yet but how brutal is that?

Brutal? I'd say it's closer to 'normal'.

Send another letter..... registered/certified snail mail. What you do after that depends on two things: 1. Whether the image was registered with Copyright Office before it was used w/o your authorization and 2. How much money you want to spend persuing the matter.

Clearly the thing to do it seek out your neighbor and punch him in the face until you break his nose. Problem solved. :biglaugh:

They emailed me back. They pulled all of his photos until they chould check the sources. They then reprinted the article and credited me with my permission of course. It was a matter of I don't care that they want to use my photo just don't credit some random guy.

I guess lesson learned, watermarks to applied in full force!

Well it wasn't their fault if *he* stole it. They fixed it, so that's good... but now there's the matter of your neighbor's nose... :playball: :greendev:

People can still take off watermarks pretty easily...Can you link us to this article?
