i always find it hard to get good shots i like at a car show. seems the background is always bad, and other peole always around it definatly makes it tough.

Extremely true. I go to many car shows and rallys and its really hard to get a 'decent quality' shot of an entire car, ive recently started shooting "parts" of cars, so i can get rid of the busy backgrounds a car show carries.

I try to incorporate the people or like M.orlo said, get one aspect of the car.

Shoot them when they start coming in.
