I am glad you like your photo, however I think it is kind of bland.

Just my opinion, but I think you had a good idea, but nothing is really tack sharp, which is fine, but with flowers, normally you want as much detail as possible. I don't know if you missed the focus a little, or if that branch was blowing in the wind, or what the case was, but it doesn't POP out like I think you were intending. Plus to me it looks a little "cold".


You can maybe save the shot with some post processing, something like this maybe?

Nice shot to start with, hanging on by a web thread maybe. Good spotting this one. The reposts there are excellent and a good lesson to all of us. Very nice work.

yeah I uploaded it really quick with no processing. It was a bit windy, and this particular lens is a little soft for these kind of things - didn't want to pass up the chance with it hanging on the spider web. Love the feedback. Thanks!

The dappled light on the branch that is the main subject of the photo is not helping.

Light quality and direction are important Aspects of making a pleasing to look at photo.
Indeed, photography is mainly about recording the light reflected from the scenes we shoot.

Few photos are as good as they can be straight out of the camera (SOOC).
