I was looking to get some opions on contrast and color and just overall quality of pictures. Not so much what the pictures are and how they are framed. Im just trying to get an idea if they looked ok, or if I am way off base as I have a amature eye. Thanks.

The first one looks fine. Killer, however, could be lightened up a bit. Bring the white point down to, say, 240 or so. That will bring out his/her eyes better.

i was thinking the eyes looked to dark also. Thanks alot.

I moved your thread to the General Gallery, because it did not include a technical question(s).

Both have low contrast because they were shot in shade and are somewhat underexposed.

#1 would have been better shot as a vertical.

#2 would be a bit better if the fence post wasn't growing out of the dog's ear.

Both shots would have benefitted from strobed (flash), or reflected lighting.

Thanks KimH for the examples of how to make the picture look better. Really like how you fixed my dogs eyes and made it ligther and clear. I use lightroom 3.6 can I asked what you used and what you did to lighten it up? And great eye you have by taking out the post above his head. I have a lot to learn and thank people like you that help the learning curve.
