I took these today, trying to break away from auto mode... So, please go easy on me, but give your honest opinion

That was the one I liked the best. I liked the same tones and different textures that it showed.

I noticed that in your pictures of the twig, the bokeh showed a lot of noise, and the twig was not really in focus.

Good on you for taking your camera off auto and experimenting!

I'm no professional by any means, but some tips were given to me early on and hopefully I can return the favor by passing them to another.

I noticed most of your subjects are in the center of the frame, I think they'd create more interest if you apply the Rule of Thirds.

I'd also check your ISO setting as I notice some noise in your pictures, specifically in the close-up shots of the twig.

On a positive, I really like the composition in your 4th picture. The angle of the twig coming into the frame gives it some interest.
