Very nice shot. The color detail is the sunset is wonderful and I think the proportions of the sand, water, sky, and pier are excellent. Very effective shot!

I think I like the pier the way it is in this shot as it frames nicely. showing the end of the pier would not have framed the colors as well.

The shot is clear, and the pier's timber colour is still visible although it looks like you exposed more for the sky. Is this a blended image?

I was just playing with this image in B&W, hope you don't mind. In my opinion color was definitely the way to go. In black and white the picture looks very bleak and cold and loses most of the interesting aspects. I believe that the colors and composition are the two most interesting items in this picture. Take out the color and half of the interest is gone.... :shock:
