I think this is the modern Jesus, dying and his soul is getting away from his body.
It's a little too dark for me, but that's what I understood there
Detail-wise the pic looks good.
I agree that the bright light on his shorts is kinda strong and distracting.
But I think it's a nice pic for the genre
