I'm having some difficulty figuring out how spot metering works on the Kodak KZ55. I would expect that if you point the spot at a specific part of the picture and half press the shutter button, that the exposure would be locked to that spot. Then, while holding the shutter button the frame could be adjusted, and then the shutter could be fully depressed to take the picture at the previously selected exposure. Can anyone verify that this is how it works? Or does spot metering work some other way?
