Finally replaced my old Canon that died just shy of a million shutter count so I am now coming to terms with the 700D. What better subject to practice on than my local Platypus.

Not the best image but when the light is only average and you have one armed wrapped around a tree hanging on for dear life and are at full stretch over the river the subject needed to be recorded. I suppose if you've got an itch, you have to scratch it.

Looking ominously like an SSBN this little chap is eyeballing me.

Interesting subject, always a nuisance when you've got a willing model but nothing else is in your favor.

Nice! What did you say to him? In photo #1 he looks like he is rolling around laughing.

Possibly, when he looked up and saw this strange old bloke, hanging onto a tree with one hand, leaning precariously over a cold river whilst waving a camera and trying to make adjustments with his free hand, he may have found the scene amusing.
