Wasn't really sure if this should go here, or another section, but I choose here ...



C&C welcome, it only makes us better. I'll say that imo, especially compared to what it was, it came out quite nice. There's a couple tell tale signs that I would like to have been able to tame, some of the noise for one, but it is what it is.

I want to start of by saying that I am VERY new to photography, so I may not know what I'm talking about. I like the "spirit" of the shot, but I find the background to be very distracting. (Although that might just be my ADHD.) I think some background blur would be nice in this shot. Also, the chains on the swing that is out of frame takes my focus away from the subjects. I love the expressions, they look very natural, and I like the red/blue coloring of the swing. Here is an EXTREMELY rough PS edit to show what it might look like a blurred background.

Like I said, rough. I did it in like 5 min. Anyways, that's my 13 cents.

I agree abut the bg being really busy, but I let it go since it is fairly neutral, and the subjects are quite strongly contrasting, so they don't get lost. I wish I'd had the 24-70 f/2.8 back when I took this, it would have done nice at blowing out the background.
