Hey guys, I have this gin bottle that I love the look of, so I thought it'd be fun to mess around getting some shots of it. I have nothing to do with this company, the bottle is purely a prop for experimentation (however, the gin is freaking delicious and from my home state).

These aren't serious product shots by any stretch of the imagination (the bottle is filled with tap water, which hurts the images quite a bit), but I thought that it would provide a good opportunity to seek some advice for any future shots I take.

Thanks for looking and for any feedback you can provide.

Far too many fingerprints clearly show up on the bottles in shots 1 and 3. I like the orange-y glow of shot #2....but the booze is gin, not whiskey,so I have a bit of a mental disconnect with that; yet still, the brand is called Hellfire, so...Hell is supposed to be hot, and orange-colored, right? My advice on all close-ups is to very scrupulouly clean and dust and 'perfect' the still-life items or the products, even when just fooling around with the camera.

In shot #3, the surface the bottle is on is not that good-looking; in #2, I like the wooden table surface; #1 has an 'okay' surface.

Very good tip on the cleaning of the bottle, thanks. Although, the tap water would still ruin these particular ones. Ideally, I’d take these with an unopened bottle. I’m playing around with lighting and how it interacts with different surfaces, so the feedback on that is also appreciated, thanks Derrel.
