I'd throw in some of that fake veggie bacon, but I can't even give that **** away. Ed

You can get poutine in Missouri? Since when? And is it really poutine?

@ Ron: where was this at? Want to know so when I visit various family members in Ontario, I'd know which locations I should have on my "must visit" list...

Izzie, congratulations! For those who don't yet know, classic poutine is hot french fries, fresh cheese curds and beef gravy. Not for the faint of heart. But perfect picker-upper if you've been outside all day cross-country skiing or skating or sledding. Sometimes known as breakfast for those who've been out all night, partying. Or so I'm told.

What was Mel doing in Manitoba? Scouting out the next action film potential? Like "The Flying Vampires of Lake Winnipeg"? Rumour has it that they'll strip an unprotected cow down to bones in 30 seconds flat. Fishing on that lake requires bow and stern 50-cal AA guns, loaded with DEET-laced silver bullets.

This was a one day affair in the village of Beeton, home of Miss Edgar's Muddy Water Tavern & Home For Wayward Girls. Beeton's Honey Fest.

Thanks, Ron. Looked it up. Not far from HW.9 which we take to see our relatives near Elora, and Elmira. However, it being a one-day affair, timing has to be right. Still, the tavern seems like a pretty decent place to stop and take a bite.
