If you went for the abstract, you should have finished the thought and pulled in closer and filled the frame. The depth of field and perspective would have been nice.
It wouldn't have looked like a bridge, but i don't think the bridge is what you were going for anyway.

I like the angle and the cropping,though .

Just think it doesn't have enough ooomph.

Thanks for the comment... I was going for something kind of in between a abstract, with sharp contrast (bottom portion) and a vintage b&w, with the film-grain look (top portion)... thought it provided an interesting whole.
