Portrait - One of my first (Accidently!)

Took this photo on a day out of a mate and almost a month later have realised that actually it makes quite a good portrait, natural expression, busy background etc.
What do you guys think?

damn dude that photo is huuuuge! Its an ok photo, kinda flat though and to be honest if you dont know the person its a lil uninteresting..

next time perhaps attach a photo?

That being said, the background is very busy, and the subject is dead center.

I'm at work where external sites, such as imageshack, photobucket and so on are often blocked. Plus loading a big file can be a *****.

it could be a good msn/twitter/facebook picture but personally i think its really not that great of a picture in terms of more advanced photography for these simple reasons:
1) picture is boring
2) no emotions are felt through the picture (neutral face with busy background)

Yeah. Background is a disaster. Busy backgrounds are something you want to avoid, contrary to what you said in your original post. Like everyone said, there's no expression on his face, and he's dead center/ While bored to tears might be a natural expression, it doesn't mean that it's one you want in your portrait.
