poster?

i was wondering if i could make this picture into a poster without sacrificing quality? and if not, what would it need to be in order to be of quality?

this is a scanned picture, they have the negatives from their 35mm... should they just take that somewhere to get a poster made? is that a better idea?

would be great to know what size poster... the image is only 3x2 (inches according to your image size window).. so if you try to make it much bigger its gonna look bad

35mm negatives can be scanned for very large prints (16x20), but that scan is not big enough. A decent lab will be able to do a high-res scan. The quality of the scan and the original negative (sharpness, grain, etc.) will have a lot to do with how it looks large.

Look in your scan settings for output size, set this to however many inches you want at a resolution of 300dpi/ppi. H
