When building a site, do you keep your images in color and or B/W?
by my last thread (which I'm still licking my wounds:() NO selective coloring
I've been using alot of 'free' actions that convert to B/W

Building a website I use gif for backgrounds and such to keep file size low and downloadability of users fast. I only use JPEG for my header

I like to use no more than 4 colors. Pick a color scheme that is easy on the eye yet appealing. Google "Color scheme generator" and youll have some luck. I am on my iPhone or else I'd redirect you to one.

Go to kuler if you're looking for color schemes.

When designing a website, simple is better.

thank you for that - designing a site is way over my head. I meant the images, i guess keeping them in color would bes best (??)

You keep them the way you wanted the photos to be seen.
If you shot a photo to be converted into B&W then keep it B&W.
If you shot the photo in color then keep it in color.
The site shouldn't have any influence on that.

What do YOU recommend?

You could do both. You could use selective desaturation if you do it right. Why are you using "actions" to convert to bw?
