I would have preferred a larger DOF in the first shot but that's just my personal taste.

Thanks. I would have too but he wouldn't stop moving which made a focus stack impossible and if I had raised the aperture any more diffraction would have kicked in. I'm never one to sacrifice sharpness for DOF.
