Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hello all...hopefully someone can help....

I'm printing to an Epson Printer.
My screen is calibrated.
Screen brightness is at min.
My printer is working fine and up to date software and firmware.
I have the ICC profile for my calibrated screen loaded for my monitor.
I am printing from Lightroom.
Lightroom is managing colour, printer colour management is OFF.
In LR I have selected the printer/paper ICC profile.

Print colours are off. Far too much green and dull.

I have also tried allowing printer to manage to colour to no avail.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled printer.

Printer is brand new.

Any ideas!? Ita driving me mad!😅

Additional....have now got colours correct. But I have to export a separate file in the colour space of the printer first, then print from that file....surely this is an extra step that LR shouldn't require?

Welcome aboard.
Sorry, I can't help as I don't print much and send the photos to pro labs when I do. I did notice you dim your display, which is a good step. Mine have been about 50% brightness.

I wonder if turning your screen brightness down ("Screen brightness is at min") is altering your colour balances.
The difficulty of course is the translation from transmitted light (screen) to reflected light (paper).

Doesn't seem to. I have now got it to print with accurate colours but I'm having to first export from LR to a new JPEG imbedded with the ICC profile of the printer, then print from that file. This just seems an extra step I shouldn't have to do.

The monitor I use is stupidly bright, even at 50% i'd need dark glasses to see it properly! If I switch it to HDR I get a sun tan!

Dimming the screen is more to get a feel for how bright a print will appear. We (in University class) would just get a test print, then compare the brightness, and dim the screen to match.

Yes, this is the proper way to do it.

If you are printing from RAW in LR maybe it's not using the profile correctly since exporting to jpg works.
