Went of a week-long trip to Kyushu Japan, and a few days on Yakushima Island. This is a very special island. It's not very big, takes about 2~3 hours to drive slowly around it, but it has mountains almost 2000m in altitude. The forests here are mainly lush Cedar forest, World Natural Heritage site, as well as the inspiration for Miyasaki's Princess Mononoke. Anyways, I will post photos of the forest in another thread. Here's what I was able to capture, EVERYDAY, from my hotel.

This is a ocean hotspring. Yes the rules says you have to get in naked. Half way taking photos at night, a bunch of grannies came and started to strip down. I bailed.

In the woods beside the hot spring.

Taken within an hour after sunset.

Lastly, I saw the biggest, longest falling star in my life at the hot spring. 3 seconds across the sky, no joke, but unfortunately, I don't have a photo to show for it. This one, however, managed to capture a small one.
