Product photography (second try).

Thanks for the useful tips.
I'm surely going to use them ;)

I did this one with your tips.
I think the reflections are better, the light is controlled, but I get dark images all the time - I have to bump the exposure and zoomed in I can see a little grain.
I definitely need some bulbs to light the scene...
I will try with two led lamps (gotta buy two cheap ones, just for the learning phase :p).

Don't forget about the hand placement.
In that pic your minute hand is covering the date window.

I looked back at some of my watch pics .. basically I need to redo them .. they are bad now that I look at them. As I mentioned you are beyond me when I first started. I also would use cardboard and other stuff that you don't see in the band to shape it the way I wanted. And little pieces of rubber to prevent it from rolling. I see how you used the clasps to keep it standing.

But on complex watches such a Festina TourdeFrance watch which has multiple dials and such I had to make sure that the hands didn't cover any thing important on the face.

Yes, but I'm currently only studying the light :p
When I do the "final work" it will be with more care...

There's three more attempts on this.

And no more product photography until I have a proper box and some lights.

Just try calming down. The important thing here is obviously ISO. Okay? Also, the background? To be sure, read up on this. I applaud you, but don't think for one minute you are fooling me.

Fooling you into what?

Cheers

OK, another rule :p
Should I put the number 1 always?

Thanks for the input :)
