Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I need to take pictures of my products and they need to be professional.

My sister owns a Canon 7D... So I thought this would be a great camera to take pictures with.

I have some really bright construction lights, Photoshop CS5 and a green screen.

How can I get really good professional pictures to put on my site?
Do I need a white backdrop? Some different type of lights?

How big of products?

It could be as simple as building a shoe box softbox:

or a light tent...

OK so it looks like clothes?

Are you going to model it on a person? Or just lay them out and photograph them flat?

Hire a professional photographer to make them for you.

High quality photographs are made by a person, not a camera. The camera meerly records the scene the professional photographer has set up to show a product to best advantage.

A good product photographer spends a couple of years learning to do it well.

It doesn't sound like you have a couple of years.

This would be an example.

^For that kinda thing I would agree with KmH. That's professional caliber work.

Now if you REALLY want to try yourself I would make one of these:

or buy one and hope for the best. Maybe look for a book on portrait photography?

I am not the best member to answer these questions, but if no one else is going to try to help, I will...

To take photos like the example you posted you will need a white seamless background and studio lighting. You should not have to do much editing in Photoshop except for color correction, cropping and saving for the web.

For lighting set ups google "High Key Lighting"
