Program mode ?

Have you guys gotten High quality shots with Program mode ?

It is a very convenient mode ....

I don't see why you wouldn't. If the camera chooses the right settings for the situation, then Program mode will work great! Other modes should be used if you know the camera is gonna screw up its metering. But if metering goes just fine, then the picture will come out the way you wanted it to (expose-wise)!

I never used it primarily because I prefer to emphasize whatever characteristic is most important to me for any particular photo. Usually it's DoF and I use aperture priority but occasionally it's subject movement and I use shutter priority. Program mode will give you good exposure and average everything else.

Priority Mode or Auto is good if you are handing your camera to a friend or family member who's not too familiar with photography to have a rare photo of the photographer taken.

Exactly what I use Program for Especially when out on the boat wakeboarding, I'll let others try to get shots of me riding for a change. In the case of wakeboarding, I can sometimes leave it in shutter priority for them and hope nothing needs to be changed.
