Here are some of the pictures from prom. I was really worried because, like i have said before the one thing i have a huge problem with is night pictures .I took tons of picture trying to get the right setting .I had my camera at 100 iso and used an external flash tt520 speedlight on manual. Feel free to c&c on how i could take better pictures at night. i did not use a tripod.I had ordered one and i just got it today . The good thing is there not horrible and my son enjoyed it to the fullest .One thing i learned is that i don't want to do is wedding photography

What kind of gear do you have? Are you able to shoot at longer focal distances so you can open up the aperture and throw the background out of focus? For example, the background and overall scene in the first image is really distracting. It would help to pull your subject away from their background (when space allows) so that it can be blurred and your subject will "pop."
