Promaster flashes?

Really needing to buy a flash, I have been borrowing a speedlite from a friend here lately when I need to but am about to buy my own. However, like most others, I am on a budget. I am currently looking at a Promaster 7500EDF Digital Electronic Flash because I met an photographer recently that says this is what he is currently using. According to him, he has had both Speedlite and Promster flashes and claims to like the Promaster better. How do these two rank up? Is this a good flash?
