Props to the Kata Bug 205 PL

I have had this bag for about 6-7 months now and I have always loved it. Just wanted to give a +1 to it after todays snow expedition.

Even without using the raincoat (or turtle shell as I call it) it does very well at keeping things inside dry, even in rain.

I only put on the shell on the walk home, and it was near whiteout conditions, and not only were things inside dry as a bone, but even the outside of the bag under the raincoat was dry.

One other good thing was that it did not "stack up snow" anywhere on shell, so it does (when you attach it correctly) create a nice smooth surface for snow/rain to bounce/run off of.

One thing about the bag I did not notice, where they leave a space for the armstraps to be tucked in if you want...that gap did catch snow. I had about 2 inches in there when I got home. I was not even aware this spot was that exposed...or just didn't think about it. But it was not an issue, just brushed it off and out and all was well. Just know you'll have to clean that space out once you get into warmer temps like inside house or car.

anyway, just wanted to give a shout to Kata for making a great truly weatherproof/weather resistant bag.
